LAPS welcomes Associate Members who support our organization’s activities and wish to donate their time. These individuals need not be certified therapy handlers.
Community members who have time to lend a hand to:
- Support therapy sessions by accompanying teams on visits. An extra pair of hands allows teams to expand activities at programs.
- Help with training classes and field trips.
- Offer assistance with photos, videos and other digital support.
- Keep our organization running smoothly by helping organize events or providing leadership behind the scenes.
- Expand our name recognition and help us share the benefits of animal-assisted interactions with a wider community.

LAPS is an all-volunteer organization with no paid staff or office. Our expenses include insurance, telephone, postage, website, office supplies and training expenses. We never charge facilities or clients for our services, and our volunteers pay all their own expenses: certification, transportation and pet grooming.
If you would like to support our efforts to bring quality animal-assisted therapy services to Napa, Sonoma and Solano Counties, we welcome monetary donations of any amount. Loving Animals Providing Smiles is a 501(c)3 public charity. Your donations are tax-deductible, according to your tax situation. We acknowledge all donations with a personal note.
Please print out the Donation Form and indicate if your donation is ‘in honor of’ or ‘in memory of’ a special person or pet. We are happy to send an acknowledgment to a third party.
everyday fundraising
LAPS participates in a number of fundraising programs. These programs require NO out-of-pocket cost to you or our group. The vendors you patronize make a contribution to LAPS for you.
