What personal information do we collect from the people that visit our website or social media sites?

Currently, LAPS does not collect personal information online through sites we directly control. From time to time, we use other online registration and fundraising sites and may receive information such as your name, address, email or phone number if you choose to register or donate via those sites, so that we can acknowledge your enrollment or donation. 

When completing an online transaction (application, donation, etc.) on our site or another online fundraising site in support of LAPS, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information or other details to help you with your experience. LAPS never receives your credit card information from any fundraising site or service we use. 

How do we use your information?

We may use the information we collect from you when you donate, apply to volunteer, register for classes, respond to a LAPS  marketing communication, surf the website, or use certain other site features in the following ways:

  • To personalize your experience and to allow us to deliver the type of content and in which you are most interested.
  • To improve our website to better serve you and our clients.
  • To allow us to respond to your inquiries.
  • To administer a fundraiser, promotion, survey or other site feature.

LAPS endeavors to comply with applicable state and federal regulations related to the security and privacy of data we collect.

Our website is scanned on a regular basis for security holes and known vulnerabilities. We use regular Malware Scanning.
