What personal information do we collect from the people that visit our website or social media sites?
Currently, LAPS does not collect personal information online through sites we directly control. From time to time, we use other online fundraising sites and may receive information if you choose to donate via those sites, in order to acknowledge your donation. When completing an online transaction (application, donation, etc.) on our site or another online fundraising site I support of LAPS, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information or other details to help you with your experience.

We may collect information from you when you donate, register for classes or apply to become a LAPS volunteer, or fill out a form or enter information on our site.

We may use the information we collect from you when you donate, apply to volunteer, register for classes, respond to a LAPS marketing communication, surf the website, or use certain other site features in the following ways:
- To personalize your experience and to allow us to deliver the type of content and in which you are most interested.
- To improve our website in order to better serve you and our clients.
- To allow us to better service you in responding to your inquiries.
- To administer a fundraiser, promotion, survey or other site feature.

How do we protect your information?
LAPS endeavors to comply with applicable state and federal regulations related to the security and privacy of data we collect.
Our website is scanned on a regular basis for security holes and known vulnerabilities in order to make your visit to our site as safe as possible. We use regular Malware Scanning.
Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all sensitive/credit information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.
Do we use ‘cookies’?
